Database Design and Concepts for Historians

Database Design and Concepts for Historians

Further Reading List

This section lists a selection of work published by historians (and perhaps the odd social scientist) on the processes involved in designing and using databases in historical research. The majority of these publications deal with database design in the context of actual historical projects, and they are representative of the kinds of considerations of that must be given to data modelling when specific research aims are to be taken into account. The problems and solutions discussed in many of them are broadly applicable to historical research more generally.
